Pack a picnic, bring the kids and enjoy the music – oldies, country, Caribbean, folk, rock and more! All concerts take place at Bob Walters Commons on Stafford Place between the Library & City Hall. Sponsored in part by the City of Warrenville Hotel Motel Tax Fund & the Warrenville Library Foundation. June Concerts: June 3: AC-ROCK returns to kick off our concerts. Their a capella stylings make them a Warrenville favorite! June 10: Folk duo SMALL POTATOES call themselves eclecto-maniacs with a mix of music that ranges from country, blues and swing to Irish. June 17: Critically acclaimed JEANIE B! is familiar across the nation to listeners of XM Kids satellite radio. Her upbeat shows are jam-packed with dancing, sing-alongs and interactive music. June 24: COUNTRY SKY BAND promises to deliver an entertaining mix of current and classic country music favorites. The band has performed as openers for country music stars Martina McBride, Brad Paisley, Travis Tritt and more! July Concerts: July 1: Chicago’s favorite female a capella quartet, ROUTE 66 , takes you on an exciting musical journey through the decades … from nostalgic swing to contemporary rock and roll, and everything in between. July 8: THE CLASS OF ’68 is a ‘60s rock and roll band that captures the energy and enthusiasm of the era. It’s feel good music for everyone … just the way you remember it! July 15: Kids and their parents will have a rockin’ good time when STEVE BENO plays tunes from his debut CD, “New Shoes.” In no time, he’ll have the kids singing and jumping! July 22: Performing Disney classics, classic rock, ‘80s new wave, motown, disco, reggae and alternative music, SODA is exactly what you need to get the party started! Bring the whole family to see this high energy group! July 29: Local friends RHYTHMIC TWITCH are THE party rock and roll band covering all the current rock hits. Music that will make you dance, make you move, make you remember why you live. August Concerts: August 5: The WEST SIDE WINDERS are Chicagoland’s rockabilly, country, swing and blues band. You haven’t heard rockabilly until you’ve heard them! August 12: From mega-superstars to one-hit-wonders , MEMBERS ONLY plays the very best rock, pop, new wave and novelty songs the ‘80s had to offer. August 19: MR. MYERS blends the sounds of calypso and ska, the rhythms of reggae and a touch of rock and roll with some favorite tunes to create their own special style of music—Caribbean Rock. August 26: There’s no better way to end our 2009 series than with CHICAGO GROOVE COLLECTIVE featuring sizzling lead vocals, infectious grooves, powerhouse horns and a rhythm section that just won’t quit! Before you head to the concerts, be sure to visit the Warrenville Park District’s Farmer’s Market from 3 – 7 p.m. at the Recreation Center Parking Lot.
