- Revolutionary War Re-enactment
- September 11 , 2010 - September 12 , 2010 10:00am - 4:00pm
- Cantigny - Wheaton
- Family Friendly Activities
More than 600 Revolutionary War re-enactors will participate, with many pitching tents and camping on the grounds. Redcoats and patriots will consume the Parade Field twice each day, staging mock battles complete with cannon and musket fire. Visitors can walk through the encampment and experience soldier life in the late-1700s. True to the period, the soldiers use no “modern” amenities like flashlights, charcoal or electricity.
North West Territory Alliance is a non-profit educational organization that studies and recreates the culture, lifestyle and arts of the time of the American Revolution, 1775-1783. It strives to duplicate the uniforms, weapons, battlefield tactics and camp life of the era as accurately as possible. For more information, visit nwta.com.
