You may have read in the latest city newsletter that the city changed its garbage disposal contract starting May 1. The problem I have is that I am now stuck with 22 extra ARC stickers worth $51.70! Perhaps I am the only person in Warrenville that buys a years worth of stickers at the beginning of the year. The city clerk did not warn me that the contract with ARC was now expiring. In fact she just found out herself last week.

I asked the city if they could buy back my extra stickers. They could then turn around and sell them to other people before May 1. But Jennifer McMahon responded that they can not do that without approval from the city counsel. I have been trying to get a hold of my alderman in ward 4 - Clare Barry and Christopher Halley - with no luck. I sent email to David Brummel but he just forwarded it to Jennifer.

So I may be stuck with these worthless stickers. I will try to sell them through your newspaper.

I think it is unethical for the city to sell me stickers that are worthless.

I would think that the city would appreciate people like me that buy stickers once a year instead of say once a month. It saves their clerks time processing my credit card 12 times a year. From now on I will buy them once a month...
