The walls are exposed brick, and there are large windows that let in the natural light. The first floor has a bar and some small booths; the second floor has a bar seating area and booth and table seating; and the third floor is set up for private parties.
BlackFinn specializes in corporate and private events, parties and meetings of all kinds.
We went for lunch because they have a daily lunch special for $5.99, lunch combos for $6.99, and starters that are very generous in size, from $8 to $12, with the BlackFinn Platter that serves four for $18.
Specialty burgers are $8.95, and entrees range from $13 for Fish and Chips to $26 for a 16-ounce Black Angus Rib eye, all served with salad and sides.
We chose the Monday special, which is Old fashioned meat loaf with pan gravy (yum), garlic mashed potatoes, and roasted maple glazed carrots, for $5.99; the BBQ Pork shanks braised on the bone with spicy campfire BBQ sauce, served with carrots, celery sticks and ranch dressing, for $8.99; and the Ultimate Bacon Cheddar Burger topped with four slices of apple wood-smoked bacon, three times the aged cheddar cheese, crispy fried onion strings and sliced dill pickles on a grilled bulky roll, with French fries, or a side can be substituted—all this for $8.95.
Our server, James, was quick, efficient, and just talkative enough to be entertaining without being in your face.
