June 2, 1916-June 7, 2011

Alexandra, 95, was preceded in death by her twin sister, Victoria, who perished in the flu epidemic of 1918. Also preceded by her mother, father, brother (Edward Leja), two sisters (Irene and Lydia), daughter (Geraldine), first husband (Frank Karzmarek) who died in the Battle of Guadalcanal, and second husband (James Adrian).

Alexandra overcame many obstacles in life, taking work at the Dodge Automotive plant on Cicero Ave. during World War II, making airplane parts. Later in life, she became a real estate broker and opened her own business, “Colonial Real Estate” in Warrenville. She continued to operate her business until her retirement.

She is survived by her son (James Adrian), four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was loved and will be missed by all.

She was laid to rest at Assumption Cemetery in Winfield.
