Kathryn A. Rice, nee Pena, 59, a 33-year resident of Warrenville, left us too soon on Sept. 18, 2011.

Kathryn was born on Jan. 13, 1952 in Rockport, Texas. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Dennis; her children, Denise Reid of Warrenville, John (Kelley) Rice of Montgomery, Joseph Rice of Warrenville and Annette (Jeff) Ricardo of Carol Stream; her grandchildren, Piper Reid and Alexander Ricardo; her siblings, Lucy (Cosme) Ramirez, Ruby (Len) Martin and Manuel (Karen) Pena; her niece, Clarissa Ramirez; and countless good friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Felix and Angelita Pena.

Kathryn was a selfless, loving person who was always willing to help someone in need. She was thankful for all she had in her life, especially her family and friends.

All services are private.
