Elmer R. “Tony” Kresl, 92, of Fort Myers, FL, died Dec. 26, 2011 at Joanne's House of Hope Hospice in Bonita Springs, FL.

He was born Sept. 3, 1919 in Wheaton, IL, a child of Gustave and Rose (Koca) Kresl. For more than 40 years, Tony was the owner and founder of Kresl Power, Inc., a supplier and repair service of hoist and crane parts, located in Warrenville, IL. He raised his family and was a resident of Warrenville for over 60 years.

An avid golfer at many country clubs near Warrenville, Tony more recently played golf at San Carlos Country Club in Ft Myers, FL, where he relocated several years ago. He served in the US Navy in World War II.

Tony was the husband of the late Geraldine (Dreis) Kresl and the father of the late Susan Ebbert. He is survived by his children, Thomas A. (Kathy) Kresl Sr. of Estero, FL. Tim Kresl of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Guy (Dorcas) Kresl of Oswego, IL, Christopher Kresl of Webb Lake, WI and Anthony “Tony” (Sandra) Kresl of Warrenville. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held privately by the family.
