IRISH OVEN OATS
Ingredients
Four cups milk in a saucepan with two pealed and cored sliced apples.
One-cup steel-cut oats.
One-half teaspoon grated nutmeg.
Two tablespoons cinnamon.
One-third cup brown sugar.
One-half teaspoon salt.
One-teaspoon vanilla.
One-cup walnuts.
Preparation
Cook, stirring until mixture just boils.
Remove from heat
Spoon into a casserole dish.
Bake covered at 375 degrees for 25 minutes. Carolyn says that it is great with blueberries, and it will last all week.
