On Thursday, Aug. 6, at 6:00 p.m., the City of Warrenville will host a public information and input meeting concerning a proposal from the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County for the following projects in that portion of Blackwell Forest Preserve located in the City of Warrenville:
Urban Stream Research Center. This project involves construction of a single-story research facility and parking lot, together with stormwater management and landscape improvements on the north side of the West Branch DuPage River, just south of the existing Blackwell Archery Range.
Blackwell Recreation and Archery Complex. This project involves the redevelopment and expansion of the existing Blackwell Archery Range, located on the north side of the West Branch DuPage River, including the construction of a new picnic shelter and associated stormwater management and landscape improvements.
The owner and proposed developer of the property is the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County. The information on proposed projects, including site plans, can be viewed on the city’s website at www.warrenville.il.us under Business/Current Development Projects or by contacting the Community Development Department.
All interested individuals are invited to attend the meeting and provide input on the proposal.
