The Winfield Public Library’s Crafters Circle recently donated 37 handmade lap Afghans to the DuPage Convalescent Center in May. These were accepted with great appreciation.
The Crafter’s Circle consists of about 25 women who knit and crochet. The group is open to anyone who enjoys knitting or crocheting as well as those who would like to learn the basics or share ideas.
Those who need transportation to the meeting may call the library in advance at (630) 653-7599, and a librarian can arrange a ride. Participants do not have to be residents of Winfield.
The group meets one Saturday every month. The July meeting is tomorrow, July 11, from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. in the large room on the library ground level.
