The 2011-12 Quad City seventh and eighth Grade Girls Basketball League concluded its tournament and season Jan. 8 at Glenbard North High School, and the Warrenville Penguins finished the season undefeated at 12-0.
In her latest column, Bobbie Mignin writes that she needs a clue before the election. I agree.
She opines that President Obama has “not a good record”, and implies that he has accomplished little during this term with no solid plans for the future. A minimal amount of research would have clued her into a more accurate reflection of the president’s record.
It is always nice when Warrenville welcomes new businesses to town. However, I must admit I usually don’t pay too much attention unless I need the service the business provides.
Although there is concern for underground water reservoirs in Nebraska, this is not the only objection that environmentalists have to the Keystone XL Pipe line proposed to carry oil from Canada to Texas.
To all that came to celebrate and remember Ron Lederman’s life. Thank you for all the kind words and memories.
I am responding to, and have a question for managing editor, George Safford. Why is it okay for Mr. Safford to insult the Chronicles readers, but it is not okay for us to have an opportunity to properly defend ourselves? Your editorial policy is a disgrace to free and open speech.
