Redesigned Edward.Org Focuses On Prevention, Education

One of the most popular hospital web sites in Illinois has been totally redesigned to focus more on prevention and wellness—as well as feature important information on conditions and treatments.

The newly redesigned Edward Hospital web site, www.edward.org, was already enjoyed by more than 100,000 visitors a month before the redesign, a number expected to grow significantly with its recent upgrades.

Novel Device Used In the Treatment Of Acute Ischemic Stroke

Central DuPage Hospital (CDH) has joined efforts with a select number of hospitals nationwide by participating in a new clinical trial evaluating the Trevo® Retrieval System developed by Concentric Medical, a novel device for removing clots from the brain in patients experiencing an acute ischemic stroke. Illinois’ first patient was enrolled and successfully treated at CDH by interventional neuroradiologist, Harish Shownkeen, M.D., co-medical director of the Stroke & Neurovascular Program.
