City Receives Development Award
At the July 19 Warrenville City Council meeting, the city received the Chaddick Institute’s Development Control Award 2010 for the Cantera Special Development District.
This award recognizes a suburban unit of government that is demonstrating excellence in sign control, design review, zoning, subdivision regulation, and the development approval process over a period of five years or more.
William Hoffmann
November 29, 1927 - July 10, 2010
William Hoffmann, a 58-year Warrenville resident, died at home on July 10, 2010.
Mr. Hoffman was the beloved husband of 58 years of Rose Ann nee Houdek, loving father of Sandra (Wayne) Vajgert, Nancy (William) Pearn, Michael (Lana) Hoffmann, Susan Hoffmann and Julie Hoffmann, beloved son of the late Catharine and the late John Hoffmann, proud grandfather of Sarah, William and Allison, dear brother of the late Mildred Gestel and the late Leo Hoffmann, and fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Tiger Marching Band Car Wash
The Wheaton Warrenville South High School Tiger Marching Band will host a car wash from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at
Members of the band will suds cars for donations to help fund their fall competitive marching season.
Come over and get your car shined while supporting the band. You can get a good deal and a clean car all summer long while the students earn their way for the band.
